CHARCOAL & PENCIL
SELECTED CHARCOAL & PENCIL DRAWINGS SINCE 2016
Drawing with charcoal and pencil has always been my way of expressing emotions when words fall short. The smooth texture of charcoal blending with the sharp lines of a pencil allows me to translate thoughts and feelings into visuals, capturing moments and depths of emotion that language sometimes cannot convey. While at the Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture, I gained a deeper understanding of space, light, and materials through sketching and observational studies. Notably, I had the privilege of serving as a teaching assistant for Professor Douglas Cooper in Drawing I & II, where I guided students and learned invaluable lessons in drawing techniques and conveying emotions through each pencil stroke and charcoal mark. These experiences have profoundly shaped my thinking and creativity in architecture and art.
