Thua Thien Hue has garnered the illustrious moniker of being the “poem” amidst the urban fabric of Vietnam. Tracing the Huong River towards the vast expanse of the sea, the nexus between this lyrical waterway and the boundless ocean unveils the resplendent Tam Giang Lagoon, an ethereal enclave brimming with the cherished and sublime beauty of Hue. Revered as the “biological pearl,” Tam Giang Lagoon is a veritable cornucopia of abundant and diverse natural resources. The appellation of Tam Giang, denoting “three rivers,” stems from its status as the confluence of three renowned watercourses in Hue: the Huong River, the Bo River, and the O Lau River. Each river boasts its distinctive attributes, both tangible and intangible, thereby engendering a unique realm teeming with a plethora of ecosystems and cultures. Embodied with the intrinsic values of nature, culture, and history, Tam Giang Lagoon warrants meticulous scrutiny to safeguard and exalt its inherent worth.
I have meticulously delineated four specific objectives that necessitate attainment within this project. Foremost among these is preserving the natural milieu and ecosystem within Tam Giang Lagoon. The second objective revolves around conserving the time-honored cultural splendor that pervades this hallowed ground. The third goal centers on the residents inhabiting the lagoon vicinity, aiming to cultivate their cognizance regarding the prodigious potential and value harbored by Tam Giang Lagoon, thereby fostering a harmonious equilibrium between the development of the lagoon area and the livelihoods of its inhabitants. Ultimately, my overarching ambition is to showcase the quintessence of this land to our international compatriots, thereby beckoning them to partake in its allure and grace in the days to come.
