SKETCHBOOK

SELECTED DRAWINGS SINCE 2016

Sketching has always been at the center of my design process as a way of thinking, observing, and discovering ideas. Before ideas become drawings, models, or buildings, they often first appear as quick lines on paper. For me, sketching creates a space for thinking, where observation and imagination intersect and gradually evolve into architectural ideas. This gallery brings together selected sketches developed throughout my journey from 2016 to the present, reflecting an evolving way of seeing, recording, and understanding architecture through time.

Beyond the studio, drawing has also become a way of experiencing architecture more deeply. In 2024, I was awarded the Gindroz Prize for Summer Travel and Study in Europe, which supported research across Venice, Grado, and the Camargue, where I explored how vernacular construction methods, local materials, and environmental conditions shape sustainable forms of architecture while preserving cultural continuity. In the same year, I received the M.Arch Travel Award from Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture, supporting research in Paris on Claude Parent’s Fonction Oblique. Through sketching works such as Drusch House, L’Oblique House of Iran, and Villa Le-Pecq, drawing became a way for me to slow down and observe more carefully, revealing qualities of atmosphere, movement, and spatial experience that often remain unnoticed in photographs or documentation.
